Dani Žbontar

Dani Žbontar works at the intersection of architecture and ceramics. In 1982, she graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Ljubljana, where she developed a ceramic tableware system for hospitality in collaboration with Jugokeramika. In 1979, she furthered her studies at the University of Mississippi, USA, deepening her knowledge of ceramics, which remains the central medium of her practice. Since the 1980s, she has worked in Ljubljana as an art ceramics designer and educator. She has exhibited at home and abroad and is a member of the International Academy of Ceramics (IAC) and numerous professional and artistic associations.
