Biography
Domen Dimovski (1995, Kranj) is an intermedia and visual artist, designer and curator. His practice combines digital graphics, animation, video and painting. After completing the Secondary School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana, he studied at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design, graduating in 2017 and completing his master's degree in 2019 in the Department of Painting, specialising in Video and New Media.
He has held 22 solo exhibitions and participated in more than 100 group exhibitions and festivals, including the 8th Szeklerland Graphic Art Biennial (Romania, 2024), the LDK members' exhibition Harmonija izraza (Austria, 2024), Mirror face to face (Italy, 2022), Utazu Art Award Biennale (Japan, 2022), 19th AAmA 2022 (China, 2022), Under the Subway Video Art Night (USA, 2020) and the 18th Pixxelpoint (Nova Gorica, 2017). He has received nine national and two international awards or distinctions, most recently the DigitalBigScreen 360° award at Speculum Artium 2023. A member of ZDSLU and LDK since 2018, he has worked as a self-employed cultural professional since December 2019. Since 2020, he has curated the video section of MFLU Kranj and served on the LDK artistic council; in 2026, he also became its president.
