Dragoljub Rakinič

D. Rakinić attended the Secondary School of Design and Photography in Ljubljana. In the early 1990s, he chose to become an independent visual artist. His principal practice is watercolour painting featuring Bled Island. On the reverse of each watercolour, he includes a sketch depicting the buyer and the artist. Over many years, he has also worked in oil on canvas, printmaking, drawing and other techniques, depicting a variety of subjects. His works have appeared in group exhibitions in Slovenia and abroad. He also received a purchase award at Ex-Tempore Piran. In 2022, he held his most recent solo exhibition, Mimoidoči (Passers-by), at the Atrium of ZRC SAZU.
