Biography
IRMGARD HUMMITZSCH
1950: born in Leibnitz.
1969: school-leaving qualification at BG and BRG in Leibnitz.
1969–1974: teacher-training studies in mathematics and sport at the University of Graz.
1975–1979: teaching in Graz.
Since 1979: based in Klagenfurt.
Since 1985: intensive artistic exploration of painting, printmaking, ceramics, photography and other techniques.
Since 2004: exhibitions at home and abroad.
Since 2014: focus on photography and development of a special photo-collage technique on Alu-Dibond panels.
Member of Kunstverein Kärnten, Berufsvereinigung Bildender Künstler and Kino Kreativ Kulturaktiv in Bad Eisenkappel.
Collections: State of Carinthia art collection / MMKK; Dr Lang private collection.
Awards and distinctions:
2016: GRAND PRIX, 5th International Fine Arts Festival Kranj – ZDSLU 2016, A DIGITAL IMAGE § A CLASSICAL PICTURE.
