Luka Dakskobler

Luka Dakskobler, born in 1980, is a documentary photographer, journalist and photojournalist from Kranj. Trained in English studies and journalism, he has worked as a photojournalist since 1997. He is a photographer for Mladina magazine and was a regular contributor to National Geographic Junior for sixteen years. He has also photographed longer or more demanding stories for National Geographic Slovenija and National Geographic Popotnik, and his images have appeared in all major Slovenian media. International photo agencies distribute his work worldwide. Publications include The Guardian, Time, The Atlantic, Der Standard, Spiegel, Business Insider and Smithsonian Magazine. He mentors documentary photography and serves as an official event photographer, and has received numerous international distinctions. Climate change, society and culture are among the predominant themes in his work.
