Biography

Olga Kopeleva is a Ukrainian artist working in the field of abstract painting.
Born in 1978.
2012–2016 – Studied at the M. Boychuk Kyiv State Institute of Art and Design (monumental painting), Ukraine.

The artist on his work:
"I don't depict reality; I depict my attitude toward it. In my works, I'm interested in exploring my subconscious, transforming internal processes and experiences into artistic images. And by complicating them (resentments), I imbue banal things with profound meanings. Each new work is a search for compositions, spots, and themes directly on the main surface. The choice of materials, base, theme, and subject matter is intuitive. And only in the final stages does a critical and analytical evaluation of the result occur, and the title and content are born."
The artist's works are housed in the Korsakov Museum of Contemporary Ukrainian Art in Ukraine, as well as in private collections in Ukraine, the United States, and other countries.
